Here are a variety of different styles, types and techniques of massages utilized by our therapists. Below is a description of some of the things we offer and the most often used types here in our spa:





Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is designed to focus on muscles and connective tissue below the top layer of muscle. Recommended for individuals who experience chronic pain, athletes, and those who are involved in heavy physical activity on a regular basis. Deep tissue is more intense than the swedish massage.

Prenatal Massage

During pregnancy it is recommended that prenatals be placed in the side position to massage muscles in the back. Pillows are used to help with comfort level for mom to be and baby

Sports Massage

Sports massage is actually a form of Swedish massage that is delivered to athletes. Most commonly, sports massage focuses on increasing blood and lymphatic fluid flow, reducing and eliminating pain as well as tender trigger points, and increasing range of motion of the affected area. Sports massages can be broken into 4 distinct types - the pre-event sports massage, the post-event sports massage, the restorative sports massage and the rehabilitative sports massage. As the names indicate, each type of sports massage has a different focus for the athlete as they are delivered at different times during their training and performance schedule.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is your classic massage. Manipulating muscles to increase blood flow and circulation of synovial flood around the joints and improve range of motion. Light to medium pressure is used
